Why Our Sorrel Is Naturally Fermented

Our sorrel is made with natural ingredients only and contains no artificial preservatives. Because of this, a gentle, natural fermentation may continue after bottling.

• A soft fizz or pressure when opening

• A minor change in taste over time

 This is completely normal.

It’s a sign that the drink is alive and authentic, not over-processed or chemically stabilised.

Is Swollen Sorrel Safe to Drink?

Yes. Absolutely.

If your sorrel bottle swells, it is still safe to drink. This is a natural result of fermentation and does not mean the product has gone bad.

The flavour may temporarily taste slightly sharper or more tangy, but once chilled and allowed to settle, it will gradually return closer to its original taste profile.
